Marang Energy started as an Independent Power Producer (IPP), and the objective in this case is to develop, operate, maintain and own; renewable energy generation facilities that distribute green electricity to the national grid.
On the main, here in South Africa, we set out to achieve this objective through the Department of Energy’s Renewable Energy Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPP), with continuous Ministerial Determinations
The company prides itself as an integrated renewable energy company in South Africa. Founded in 2015, the company in partnership with international strategic partners and local communities develops niche energy infrastructure projects as well as markets and trades renewable energy solutions with a footprint in majority of African countries such as South Africa, Botswana, Ghana, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon. The company’s headquarters are in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa.
